Yaseen Foundation is the Muslim Community Association of the Peninsula centered in Belmont, California, which is in the center of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Yaseen is a non-profit organization founded in late 1999. It is managed by volunteers who are elected by its members. Yaseen's services are leveraged by a large community, which spans from Daly City and South San Francisco to Palo Alto, California.

 

Our Mission 

  1. Serve the religious, educational and social needs of the Muslim community in the peninsula.

  2. Serve the community (Muslims and non-Muslims) via outreach programs to those who are in need.

  3. Spread peace, brotherhood, love, and family values through education and interfaith activities.

 

Core Activities 

Yaseen Foundation is a dynamic organization that continually looks for opportunities to serve the community. Yaseen’s activities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Mosque operations with five daily prayers

  2. Weekly Friday Prayers

  3. Two annual Eid prayers and community events

  4. Ramadan services with daily Taraweeh prayers and daily Iftar program

  5. Part-time Islamic school for children

  6. Islamic education for adults through lectures and classes

  7. "Zakat" program – distribution of money to poor families in the SF Bay Area

  8. Islamic Library with a wealth of Islamic books, tapes and DVD’s

  9. Numerous Social programs

  10. Outreach programs

  11. Interfaith programs with other faith groups in the SF Bay Area

  12. Youth programs

  13. Family and marriage counseling

  14. Islamic marriage services

  15. Islamic burial help – "Janazah"

  16. Advocacy services – Help for dealing with landlord, school, employer, etc.
