Al-Iman Sunday School

Al-Iman is a Sunday program for children ages 5 to 16, established in 1999. It operates with its own independent board, administration, and staff.

2024-2025 School Year:
Al-Iman School begins again on September 8th, 2024 and ends June 15th 2025.
‍
Offering: Islamic Studies, Quran, Noorani Qaida and Conversational Arabic for children ages 5 to 16 at these levels:
Level 1
Level 2
Level 3
Level 4

‍**An assessment will take place on August 25th to determine level placement. 10am to 2pm at Yaseen Burlingame Center**

‍Classes run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM for the four classes

Classes are based on a first-come first-served basis.

Al Iman teachers strive to build a strong Islamic foundation for students. The expectation at the end of the school year is that students will have the knowledge and understanding, based on their level, of:
1) Recognition of the Arabic alphabet.
2) Ability to conversate in Arabic.
3) Memorization of specific surahs from Juzza Amma.
4) Understanding the stories behind said surahs.
5) Understanding of the Islamic studies sections to which they were introduced.

Teachers will strive to achieve these goals, but Al Iman must emphasize the crucial role of parents. Students attend Islamic school only one day a week for four hours. This limited time is not sufficient to fully educate them. Therefore, it is essential for parents to continue educating their children throughout the week. This ongoing effort is necessary to help them gain the knowledge that will make them great Muslims.

Tuition: $150 per month (discount offered for siblings)
Registration fee: $50 per student

Please be on time for pickup at 2 PM.
‍A late fee of $5 will be applied for every 5 minutes past the designated pickup time.
